Biography: Peter Barnitz, a contemporary artist hailing from Metairie, LA, holds a BFA from Loyola University (2004) and an MFA from the University of New Orleans (2011). As a prolific painter, sculptor, and installation artist, he navigates diverse mediums, crafting mixed-media pieces that explore life's nuances. Currently, he balances his roles as a resident artist and head basketball coach at Kenner Discovery High School. In 2012, he founded the Barnitz Academy of Fine Arts, fostering creativity through workshops. Appointed Chairman of the Kenner Rivertown Arts Council in 2014, Barnitz remains committed to simplifying forms and creating neutral experiences that prompt contemplation, echoing harmony in an ever-changing world.
