Biography: Nonney Oddlokken, a fine artist, intricately weaves her magical childhood into mesmerizing tales through her TINY, LITTLE FABLES series. Raised by her agoraphobic godmother amid Cajun folklore and New Orleans Voodoo, Oddlokken transforms adversity into enchanting narratives. Her symbolic and allegorical fables, inspired by Southern Louisiana's flora and fauna, explore characters like Feu Follet and Voodoo Queens. Pioneering a unique genre, she stitches thread on handmade paper, incorporating gold thread as a life line symbol. The encircled eye in her artworks unveils unseen, enchanted entities. Oddlokken's art invites viewers into a world where stitched narratives transcend into captivating visual folklore, uniting the magical and the tangible.
